Jam Oatmeal Crumble Bars

Published August 5, 2016 by theycallmemrstibbs

I’ve had this recipe for months I keep saying I’m going to make it.

So I decided that I would make it this week.

Ingredients.

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 2½ cups quick-cooking oats
  • ¾ cups butter, melted
  • 1 cup blackberry preserves or jam
  • 1 Tbls water (optional)

Above are the ingredients that I used obviously I melted the butter.

Firstly I put the cake mix into the mixing bowl.

I then added the the oatmeal.

Then I added the butter and mixed it together.

I then pressed half the mix into the dish.

After adding the jam on top of the mix I then added the remaining mix to the top of the bars.

I cooked it for 24 minutes at about 180-200 degrees.

When cooked I cut them into squares.

After tasting them they were a bit sickly even for me.
