My parent’s visit.

Published August 31, 2016 by theycallmemrstibbs

Yes my parents came to visit again we decided that we would go to Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

In Amsterdam we went to the Dungeons. It was a fun day out but we were unable to take photos. We learnt quite a lot of Dutch history.

Yes I put Christopher in a coffin and he volunteered.

At lunch we decided to get a typical Dutch lunch of pancakes. I got a Nutella pancake.

Then my mum gave me a bit of ice cream.

As you can see I finished it.

After lunch we decided to go on a canal tour around Amsterdam,  it was interesting how different parts of the city are defined.

We went on a walk and we found the best shop for game characters and basic geeky stuff.

The next day we went to Rotterdam. We saw the best boat in the harbour with am octopus on the side.

We the went for a walk over our usual bridge Erasmusbrug. It gives the best views.

As you can see the path was sparkly.

We went to Bagels and Beans for lunch and my dad surprised me he got strawberry juice with his bagel.

We decided we sounds show some of the sites in Rotterdam. Above and below are the cube houses.

After this we took them to the church that we have visited several times before it was one of the only churches that survived World War 2 to an extent. It need some rebuilding.

Flower Parade

Published August 18, 2016 by theycallmemrstibbs

That’s right there’s a parade here just to show locally produced flowers in Rijnsburg. They even had some older cars to show too.

The the parade of the flowers floats started.

Yes that’s right, there’s Edina, Patsy, Saffron and mother. Absolutely Fabulous is really enjoyed here.

We loved this one.

I had to get a picture of Christopher in here somewhere.

Out started raining so we decided even though it wasn’t the end it seemed like a good time to leave.

It gently reminded me of the Rose Parade.

Jam Oatmeal Crumble Bars

Published August 5, 2016 by theycallmemrstibbs

I’ve had this recipe for months I keep saying I’m going to make it.

So I decided that I would make it this week.

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 2½ cups quick-cooking oats
  • ¾ cups butter, melted
  • 1 cup blackberry preserves or jam
  • 1 Tbls water (optional)

Above are the ingredients that I used obviously I melted the butter.

Firstly I put the cake mix into the mixing bowl.

I then added the the oatmeal.

Then I added the butter and mixed it together.

I then pressed half the mix into the dish.

After adding the jam on top of the mix I then added the remaining mix to the top of the bars.

I cooked it for 24 minutes at about 180-200 degrees.

When cooked I cut them into squares.

After tasting them they were a bit sickly even for me.
