We decided last weekend to go on up to Naturaalis, the natural history museum in Leiden. As we thought when we go there we can get a Museumkaart this is for museums within the Netherlands so we decided roughly €60 is worth it and we can go to many museums here.
It kind of makes you grateful that a majority of museums are free in the UK.
Anyway, let our day begin.
When we first got there as you can see some modern animals taxidermies.
Then there was some models showing natural resources. This was cool as you could pick areas press a button and the area rose up.
This area was surrounding Leiden.
Then we started the history, with DINOSAURS.
During this section there was lots of information about the different eras of dinosaurs. Which was very interesting. Then we saw a section talking about when the continents developed, I forgot to get a picture. Whoops!
But I got this one.
I’ve got the whole world in my hands. 🙂
The next section was pretty shiny gems. In the words of Gollum “my precious”
I was very impressed with these.
Then we moved on again. Back to modern animals.
I don’t like seeing taxidermied animals but this was very tasteful.
I’m thinking maybe my parents would like it here too. I’d definitely go again.
