Den Haag A.K.A the Hague day out

Published April 15, 2015 by theycallmemrstibbs

We decided as I am going to meet a friend there maybe we should go check it out first.

We got a train from Leiden Centraal to den Haag Centraal, it only took about 15 minutes. We were expecting a small station, but when we got to it there were so many shops at the station,  which kind of reminded us of Manchester piccadilly. šŸ˜¦

Any way we started the day going for a small walk, but it started to rain, well drizzle. But we decided if it rained to go find a starbucks and have a tea.

We got tea and sat in for a wee while,  then we went shopping. Yay!
We actually found the Primark and realised we had kind of missed it in Pasadena but Target was still better.
Talking of Pasadena we actually found some t-shirts with southern California cities names printed on them. Of course this made us miss Pasadena soooo much. 😭
We even found a Breaking Bad wallet for Christopher and a superhero belt for me, but we decided to go back for them soon.

We carried on with our walk and found the Department of Justice building.

Different views around the building.

We continued the walk until we got to
Maurithuis, which is an art gallery.

We saw some Rembrandt paintings, obviously we were gushing as he was Leiden born and bred.

And now non-Rembrandt pictures.

I was gobsmacked by the above picture.

We then saw a lot of people looking at a picture.

We then went further forward. And ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦

Needless to say I was astonished by seeing The masterpiece The Girl With The Pearl Earring.

We then went on another walk outside.

To the Peace Palace.

And a church (which I can’t remember the name of)

Then we went to the British favourite Mark’s and Spencer’s! I saw one of the Easter favourites.

Overall a great day was had, so we went home and I had the bramley apple hotcross buns. šŸ™‚
