This is a botanical garden in Leiden and this is the oldest botanical garden in the Netherlands and one of the oldest in the world. This obviously amazed me.
We initially went on just a wander around Leiden then we passed the main gates and we decided we should go in to see how much it costs. The answer €7. Bargain.
So we went on in.
Of course the first trees we saw were palm trees which made us miss Pasadena even more.
Then more palm trees but we thought onwards and upwards literally.
And then down the spiral staircase.
And down further.
I was impressed with this dinosaur statue.
You’re about to see lots of pictures on plants so stop now off you don’t want to see more.😆
I thought I should show off the blue sky. Sorry.
At the gardens there is also Leiden observatory.
I’m hoping to go again so there will be another part for this.
