There was a food festival on South Lake avenue a few weeks ago which we attended. There was obviously the food shops on Lake with stands some with ny favourite things freebies and some items being sold.
But the main thing we actually went for was the music. It started with Dustbowl Revival, if I have any regular followers you will recognise the name as we have seen the band three times now.
The next band who played were classed as Country Rock, of course first thought was that I wouldn’t listen to them. I was quiet surprised especially when I knew a large majority of the songs. Including this song by Eric Church All You Gotta Do is Put a Drink In My Hand.
We even had line dancers to this song doing the Electric Slide.
The band was called Dawson’s Gang.
The next and final band were the main reason we went as we went to see if they could do a family orientated show.
As you can guess they are an 80’s tribute band and usually are very adult humour, we saw them for the first time in a bar which they frequently perform at. We both thought they did a very family orientated show with jokes that anyone under 12 may not have got.
But over all it was a very good day.
I will be back next week with a Wheaton beer event.
